He studied art in Madrid, Paris and Milan, but he is considered as a self-taught person and is defined as an independent painter with his own personal style of painting. Also at the beginning he was influenced by Goya, German Impressionism and Dadaism.
He made many individual and collective exhibitions, mainly in Europe and USA. Also he made some performances and published "EL LIBRO DE LA TACHADURA". His works are present in several private collections and museums including:

David de Ubaldis's painting falls within abstract expressionism. It is characterised by the use of a great many masses of colour, together with elements of collage, where the subject of nature holds a passionate dominion and reflects a current of joy difficult to find in other artist, since as he says, "I am not just a painter, but also an admirer of art and I always cultivate within myself the quality of the good spectator".

This artist has journeyed through all the artistic styles, from Greco-Roman art, continuing by way of the Italian renaissance to French impressionism and German expressionism, directly influenced by Der Blaue Reiter.

Later he underwent an important change after reading the "DADA" manifesto, and the works of Marcel Duchamp, a change which led him in a new pictorial direction, towards a combination of art theory and protest. This arose from his opinion that "European art is the result of the two converging lines of the Renaissance and the French Revolution".
